Hakeem or Manu: Who’s the Greatest?

Manu-v-Hakee_20190221-002546_1 Who Is The Greatest Foreign-Born NBA Player?

Recently Fox Sports’ personalities Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe got into a disagreement over which foreign-born NBA player has made the greatest contribution to the professional game. Sharpe made the case for former Houston Rocket Hakeem Olajuwon, with the Dallas Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki in second place.

Bayless made the case for Manu Ginobili as the greatest foreign-born NBA player.

Manu was certainly a Spurs fan favorite for many years. He didn’t have the 20-points per game average that Hakeem had over his career. He made only two All-NBA teams compared to Hakeem’s 12.

However, Manu had 4 championship rings. Hakeem had just two.

Hakeem is generally considered the best defensive center in the history of the NBA. Manu is given the title of the best 6th man in the history of the game.

For Spurs fans, there was no one who could change the game more quickly than Manu could. The energy he brought to any competition was unmatched.

Do you remember how powerful Manu’s presence was on the court? How he could change the trajectory of the game in ways that no one else could? See this article to remind yourself of how Ginobili “shocked the world.” Then let us know what you think in the comments below.
