There are a number of different court configurations that can be designed for basketball. Though an actual "halfcourt" basketball court would be about 42' x 50', you would not need to have that size to be able to play some great basketball games. A 25' x 30', or perhaps even a 27' x 44', might be the perfect fit for your yard or budget. If you really want the full Collegiate 3-point line, then you need about 42' to 45' in width. If you only need the top arc of the 3-point line, then the width can be reduced to 25' or 30'. Of course those who want to run full court for that really strenuous workout, might want a 45' x 70' or a 50' x 84' court. Whatever you choose, having your own basketball court in the yard is a great choice for the active family. And since most courts can be completed in 3-6 weeks depending upon the size and yard circumstances, you won't have to wait too long to start playing.
